Cookie Notice

Last updated: 28 July 2026

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Some are needed to make the site work. Others tell us how the site is being used. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations we may only set the second kind if you agree, so this page explains exactly what is set and why.

Your choice

When you first visit maly.co.uk you are asked whether to allow non-essential cookies. Nothing beyond strictly necessary cookies is set until you accept. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link in the footer, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Declining non-essential cookies does not restrict any part of this site. Everything remains readable and every form still works.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are required for the site to function and are set without consent, which the regulations permit.

Analytics cookies — only with your consent

We use Google Analytics, connected through the Google Site Kit plugin, to understand which pages people find useful. We use it to improve the site, not to identify individuals, and we do not use it for advertising.

Google’s own explanation of how it uses this data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Embedded content — only with your consent

A small number of our articles embed video from YouTube. If you allow non-essential cookies, YouTube may set its own cookies when the video loads, and it treats that as a visit to its own site. Those cookies are governed by Google’s privacy policy, not ours. If you decline, embedded video is either blocked or loaded in privacy-enhanced mode, which does not set tracking cookies unless you press play.

What we do not use

We do not run advertising or remarketing pixels, we do not use social media tracking pixels, and we do not sell or share cookie data with data brokers. If that ever changes, this page will be updated before the change goes live.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies through its settings, usually under Privacy and Security. Blocking all cookies will affect many websites, not just ours.
